Leaving Etsy

I'm stop being a seller at Etsy pretty soon. I don't want to stop creating, but my family needs my attention. The farmer markets I've been to were lots of fun and I only have like 20 bags left of promos given to me from other Etsians, so the promo spread was a big success ^_^ don't worry. Of course with the exception of one or two Etsians who sent me stacks of promos lol and to them, don't worry I'll keep spreading the word =).

I'm having a HUGE sale at my shops OrigamiCentral and Nenunys and will continue the sale until everything is gone. I still enjoy stopping by Etsy to talk in forums and shop ^_^ so I'll be around.

Thank you everyone who supported me and made my stay as a seller on Etsy so wonderful! Good Luck to you all =).

Movies in the Park

Summer time has just started and it can seem like there's nothing to do, but there's endless things you can do if you just do a little research online. You can live somewhere most of your life and not know all the unique things going on in your community. But that's the fun of it all, to discover what is in your own backyard waiting for you to join in on the fun.

Whenever I decide to go somewhere or find myself sitting at home with a itching feeling to go outdoors, I go on my labtop and type in "Things to do in _____". Lots of places and events come up that are affordable for the family or basically free to do. For instance, I've discover that alot of community parks around my area have free "Movies in the Park". Now doesn't that sound great for a family night out? Bringing out your own lawn chairs, homemade popcorn, and enjoying the cool summer night while watching classic movies.

If you live around the Santa Rosa, Ca area, Howarth Park is a great place for the family. Check out all the fun things you can do there this summer. Every city has a special place for the family, just do a little research. It's a great thing you can do when you can get your kids or partner off their butt and learn the love of the outdoors.

Well just a bit of thought, I know I'm going to enjoy a movie at the park tonight. Where will you be? ^_^ Go find out where you CAN be.

Jazz Festival

Saturday's Jazz Festival was a hit. Great music with tons of people from the community. I couldn't stop dancing to the music from my tent. Everything was very lively and so much fun. I actually even won $250 worth of dog training from the raffle they were having. It was just what I was hoping for. Also, the people loved the promos that were given to me by other Etsians. I put them in nice white bags and gave them out to anyone passing by. Well ok let's not keep you waiting...here are some great pictures of the Festival.

Alright, back to more creating ^_^ Ciao!

Upcoming JAZZ Festival

Next Saturday on June 14, 2008, I'll be attending a Jazz Festival. I'm super excited. There's suppose to be tons of attendees since its going to be in a park. They're going to have a Jazz band and a real dance floor on top of the grass! So awesome. The table costed me $50 for 12-9pm, I hope everything goes well because most of my items are $4-$5, lol so hopefully in 9 hours I'll make up for my table and much much more. Once again, this Thursday I forgot my camera on my rush to the Farmer's market. It was a real bummer. I took some shots with my phone camera, but I can't figure out how to upload them. >_< I'm going to leave my camera in the car to make sure I bring it on Saturday.

On another note, Saturday night will also be a big Pre-Father's Day camp out my boyfriend's church is having. We're definitely going to make some smores and sleep in our tiny tent lol. So it's going to be big day Saturday. But what's better than making money during the day and chilling by the relaxing campfire at night. Then when we all wake up Sunday morning, we're going to have a HUGE BBQ all day. I hope everyone else will have a great day on Father's Day too. Celebrate those wonderful Dads everyone. ^_^

Ok Ciao! Take Cares

Next week I'll sure to take some nice photos for everyone to see. ^_^ Alot of people were also happy to receive the promos given to me by other etsians for my markets this summer. I just can't wait to next week. Well I'm off to dinner, ciao eveyone! =)

Daily Life: IRON MAN

Earlier today I went to have a nice lunch with my boyfriend and his siblings at JK Buffet. I usually don't like buffets, but I decided to try today after much insistence of my boyfriend and his siblings. Turns out JK Buffet has some excellent food today and I really enjoyed myself. After lunch, we went to watch Iron Man because of all the rave we heard about the movie being #1 and best selling in the box office. The movie lived up to it's title. It had action, comedy, and romance to the perfect blend. I loved it. I haven't seen that good of a movie for a very, very long time. I extremely recommend it.

Tonight I'll be heading off to LA for a business trip. It's going to be an 8 hour drive >_< Arrrghh. Have you ever driven straight 8 hours before? I have because I was such in a rush on one of my business trips to LA before. It was a numbing feeling like you couldn't tell where you are but knew where you were going lol. Well, hopefully everything will turn out ok this time.

My recent ideas for my shop are under way and also I have been accept at the Cotati Farmers Market so you can count me there every Thursday starting May 29. I'm very excited about this and am stocking up on my items to sale. The promo packets are going well also. It looks like free goodie bags that you just have to have!

Alright, I'm going to go pack up now. Take care everyone!

A Extra Tribute to Earth Day

The closer Earth Day gets, the more I feel inspired to help out as much as I can. Today, I was lucky enough to get a treasury in the West Treasury. I dedicated it to Earth Day and filled it with inspiring pieces and works of arts. Maybe it'll still get front page so that even more people can feel the inspiration to save our earth in anyway they can...

Spreading the Word Up North

Available at EnchantingKeepsakes.ETSY.com $15.00

This summer I plan to attend several farmer's markets around Sonoma County, CA. I want to spread the word about Etsy, my shop (of course), and about all the talent of other Etsians. My goal is reach several audiences around Sonoma County from attending the High Profile markets to the lower profile markets, reaching people with all kinds of income. This will show that no matter how deep your pocket is, there is always something on Etsy that can fit your needs. I plan to attend a different market every week or two. I will post about my experiences here and share any tips I've learned. I also plan to have a nice basket in front of my table, hopefully filled with other Etsian's promos to give to customers and passer-bys.

Since I will be attending different profile markets I would love to have promos from the higher-end Etsians and the "Won't-break-you-piggy-bank" Etsians like myself, just to show how diverse Etsy really is. I will also be posting about which shops contributed and the fabulously promos they gave. I hope that by the end of the summer I will accomplish two things, One, introduce the world of Etsy to a bunch of new people who in turn will become new buyers; and Two, discover the best markets in Sonoma County to promote Etsians even more in the future! So, if you would like to send me some promos from your shop, just convo me or email me at OrigamiCentral@yahoo.com . I would like to have some promo packets ready by May, but you can send me your promos throughout the summer until July. Thanks everyone!

A "Drop Everything" Moment

On Friday, I received a phone call from my sister telling me that my mom was in the hospital. She had fell and fractured her hip. I live in Santa Rosa, CA and the minute I heard the news I drop everything I was doing and headed off to Orange County which was an 8 hour drive. I never felt the way I felt that day; scared, nervous, anxious. My mom was heading into surgery around the 6th hour of my drive. I kept praying that she would be ok. I finally reached her hospital around noon. She was alright, Thank God, but she was still in much pain. I had brought her one of my Tri-Peace Crane to brighten up her hospital room, she was very happy. I spent 2 nights in Orange County before I had to head back up north today to go to work tommorow. During my time there I felt like my family was whole again and we were all together wishing my mom better health. She's doing better, but the doctor said she would have to walk with a stick for 3 months and then come back to see if everything has healed and even after that every 5 years she would have to come in again for surgery to replace the 3 screws the put in her. It's such a scary event for everyone, having to know you have to go into surgery again and again. It's just so dramatic. Now all I'm thinking is that I have to succeed in my career and make a living that can allow my mom to live comfortably. I love crafting and I'm interested in anything that deals with real estate. One day, I want to open a store that is filled with cute hand-made items from around the world and each crafter would be recognized in my store. Someday soon I hope I can put together the two things I love doing the most and make a good living from it, someday...

Tri-Peace Crane Collection

Today I started on listing my new collection of Tri-Peace Cranes. I had made them for a while now, but could hardly ever get a good picture of them, but today I was successful! Yay! I chose to make the ornaments with 3 peace cranes because the universal peace symbol has 3 lines, so 3 cranes. They turned out pretty great and I can't wait to sell them at my next Farmer's Market. Everyone should have a peace crane or something in their home that symbolizes peace to bring them happiness and a calm feeling. I stress alot with my way of living, but everytime I look at my ornaments I feel more calm and I let my stress slip right off me. They bring smiles to my face and I want to share them with the world. Right now, I have only one listing but I'll list up more soon. I'm very excited, so you know what? I'm going to start a CONTEST right now! lol Alright, here's the rules: Just stop by my shop and look around. Comment here and tell me what item you like the most and why, like a real reason, not just it's cute or something lol. Then on Friday, April 11, 2008, I'll randomly choose a winner and give them the item they like the most for free! You must leave a way for me to contact you though, like email or blogpost OR you can just E-Mail me with you info.

My email is.... OrigamiCentral@yahoo.com

My Shop site is ... OrigamiCentral.ETSY.com OR http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5515057

Thanks for reading! ^_^ And Good Luck!
